Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are embarking on a North American tour next month, but they took their show on the road for a test drive on Monday night in the latest installment of Carpool Karaoke. As the duo began their mobile musical adventure with Late Late Show host James Corden, Lovato and Corden put Jonas in the hot seat by talking about his romantic life — which includes Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato in the rear view mirror — and the fact that he no longer wears a purity ring.

After Jonas tried to change the subject, they launched into such Lovato songs as “Heart Attack” and “Stone Cold,” and dipped into the Jonas catalogue for “Close” and “Chains.” (After “Chains,” Corden asked Jonas if he’s ever been tied up; turns out, he has, including during a performance at a gay club.) They also blew through DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean” (a band that features Jonas brother Joe) and demonstrated some nice three-part harmonies on Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” before taking their act to the streets, literally. The trio did some busking, performing Lovato’s “Confident” with Corden on percussion and Jonas on guitar. Did they make any money? Click on the video to find out.
