'Can't Stop the Feeling' video: Justin Timberlake (and everyone else) keeps on dancing
Justin Timberlake and many Los Angeles residents dance like no one’s watching in the new video for Timberlake’s summer banger “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
Directed by veteran filmmaker Mark Romanek, the video features Timberlake dancing to the song, the lead single from the Trolls soundtrack, at a grocery store and elsewhere — and intersperses footage of people from all walks of life busting a move as well. Highlights: an employee at Los Angeles institution Randy’s Donuts, a businessman, and a little boy wearing scuba goggles. (Later, Timberlake uses a banana as a microphone, as one does.)
“Can’t Stop the Feeling” is already a certified smash: it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 100, the first time a Timberlake track has landed in the top spot. It’s the singer’s first new song in almost three years, and will likely lead to his next album. “I’m exploring making another album,” Timberlake said in an interview with TODAY last week. “Honestly, it was because of [making Trolls], getting back into the studio to work on music for this… It just kind of spilled over into, ‘Man, I’m really enjoying being back in the studio.'”
