High School Musical 4 is really happening! Hopeful future stars gathered at the Anaheim Convention Center Sunday to try out for the Disney Channel sequel, and they were joined by a very special guest: the franchise’s own Corbin Bleu, who showed up to give the nearly 5,000 people a pep talk.

Disney Channel last released a High School Musical movie in 2008 with that year’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year. This one, written by Dan Berendsen and HSM alum Peter Barsocchini, kicked off its open casting call earlier this spring. Watch a clip from Sunday’s auditions above.
