GLAAD Media Awards winners list 2016
Mariah Carey and Robert De Niro were honored at Sunday’s GLAAD Media Awards in New York, alongside 2015 indie sensation Tangerine and USA series Royal Pains.
De Niro was presented with the Excellence in Media Award, while Carey was given the Ally Award.
Tangerine, which stars trans actress Mya Taylor, won Outstanding Film — Limited Release; Royal Pains took honors in the Outstanding Individual Episode category for “The Prince of Nucleotides.”
Other winners included Diane Sawyer’s interview with Caitlyn Jenner (Outstanding TV Journalism — Newsmagazine), Anderson Cooper’s “Interview with Jim Obergefell” (Outstanding TV Journalism Segment), and Cosmopolitan (Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage).
