PJ Harvey announces first U.S. dates in five years
PJ Harvey will perform in the U.S. for the first time in five years. On Monday, the singer announced a pair of stateside dates in support of her ninth studio album–and also first in five years–April’s The Hope Six Demolition Project.
The experimental English rocker will play New York City’s Terminal 5 August 16, followed by a stop at Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall August 18. She’ll be accompanied by a nine-piece band that includes Alain Johannes, John Parish, Mick Harvey, Alessandro Stefana, Enrico Gabrielli, Jean-Marc Butty, Kenrick Rowe, and Terry Edwards.
According to Pitchfork, these will be her only two U.S. gigs for 2016, though she launches a slate of European shows June 1. View those dates here and watch her video for opening track “The Community of Hope” below.
