Justin Bieber got a face tattoo
Justin Bieber is no stranger to the tattoo parlor; his array of body art takes center stage on his most recent album cover, Purpose. But the “Sorry” singer kept the ink away from his face until this weekend.
While traveling for his Purpose world tour, Biebs made a stop at a New York City tattoo parlor over the weekend to get a small cross tattooed near his left eye. The iconography isn’t new for Bieber’s ink collection — he has large cross tattoo on his chest as well.
Bieber subtly shared the face tattoo with fans via an Instagram post on Sunday. It’s only the most recent in a string of Instagram posts to cause a stir with fans, including a shot with a tiger that angered PETA and a bizarre coloring book page.
When asked about Bieber’s new ink, tattoo artist Jonathan “JonBoy” Valena explained its meaning to E! News: “It was a representation of his faith in Jesus and his journey with finding purpose in God.”
