There’s no denying that Victoria Beckham was the poshest Spice Girl, but apparently she wasn’t exactly the most talented singer of the girl group. “They used to turn [my mic] off and just let the others sing,” Beckham revealed during a talk at the National Portrait Gallery on Thursday.

The former Spice Girl and current fashion designer went on to talk about how her style of performing was always different from the other four women in the group. “Luckily because I used to wear heels, I just used to jig about a bit and I got away with it, but it never came easily,” Beckham said. “I was always much more reserved than the other girls.”

The news doesn’t come as a huge shock; Beckham has shied away from performing since her days as a Spice Girl and pursued a successful career as a model and designer. While the rest of her bandmates — Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm — set to releasing multiple solo albums post-Spice Girls, Beckham put out just one before shifting her focus away from music.
