Bucky Barnes is a complicated guy. But that’s kind of what happens when someone enlists to fight the bad guys and then decades later becomes a brainwashed assassin.

As Sebastian Stan put it when he stopped by the EW offices, “He himself doesn’t really know who he is.” And that’s why it’s such a good thing that he has a friend like Steve Rogers (aka Captain America).

The Bucky-Steve bromance has been a huge part of the Captain America films for fans, and according to Stan, the thing that makes them stand out is the fact that they’re two guys who “never had a chance” and to this day are “struggling to find their way.”
