Fans will get a medal for watching all 5 films featuring the superhero at select theaters on May 5
Here’s hoping you have an extra sick day to use: Marvel has announced a 691-minute Captain America movie marathon that will screen at select theaters around the country this Thursday, ahead of Friday’s release of Captain America: Civil War.
Following similar screening events, like 2015’s Ultimate Marvel Marathon, which included 11 films leading up to The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the studio will consecutively show five films featuring Chris Evans as Cap: Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Captain America: Civil War will screen last.
According to a post on the official Captain America Facebook page, fans who sit through every film on the docket will receive an “exclusive medallion” commemorating the feat of watching Marvel movies for almost 12 hours straight. The limited edition first issue of the Marvel: Avengers Alliance comic book will also be available at participating venues.
