FANCY PANTS (AND DRESSES)
E! Live From the Red Carpet: The 2016 Met Gala
E!, 7:30 p.m.
The annual fashion-forward celeb-and-socialite bash falls tonight, which means there’ll be plenty of inventive looks to peep. Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Kardashian (with Kanye West!), Katy Perry, and Mindy Kaling are just a few of the stars expected to show up tonight.
Houdini & Doyle
Fox, 9 p.m.
Following (if not living up to) the X-Files formula, this London-set new mystery series stars Michael Weston and Stephen Mangan as Harry Houdini (the Skully-ish skeptic) and Arthur Conan Doyle (the Mulder-y believer) as two famous friends who solve crimes together.
JAIME OF ‘THRONES’
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
Fox, 9 p.m.
By now, you’ve heard about Jon Snow. (You have heard about Jon Snow, right?) But what does Jaime Lannister think about it? Find out tonight, as Noah’s guest will be none other than Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Maybe he’ll even sing Jeremih to Noah.
HBO's epic fantasy drama based on George R.R. Martin's novel series A Song of Ice and Fire.
