Paul Rudd is stepping up to the plate to portray a baseball player with a top-secret second job.

EW has confirmed that the Ant-Man actor is set to star in The Catcher Was a Spy, a thriller about the journeyman ballplayer and WWII-era intelligence officer Morris “Moe” Berg.

Based on Nicholas Dawidoff’s biography, The Catcher Was a Spy will explore the enigmatic life of the Ivy League-educated, multilingual sportsman who played for teams including the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago White Sox and moonlighted for the Office of Strategic Services, a precursor to the CIA.

Ben Lewin (The Sessions) will direct from a screenplay by Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan).

Rudd will next be seen on the big screen reprising his Ant-Man role in Captain America: Civil War.

Deadline first reported his casting in Catcher.
