There were lots of surprises on Sunday’s Game of Thrones premiere, but some fans got an even bigger shock in real life: an appearance from star Maisie Williams at their viewing party.

It all started when Williams sent a tweet looking for Game of Thrones viewing parties in the L.A. area. She hinted that there would be Game of Thrones swag available for whoever responded.

Little did these fans know that the swag included Williams herself. As told in a 12-part Instagram story, Williams found a viewing party and went to surprise them with snacks.

The surprise worked, and Williams managed to choose a party decked to the nines in personalized Game of Thrones decorations: bets about Jon Snow’s fate, candy worms named after Grey Worm, and so on.

New episodes of Game of Thrones air Sundays on HBO.
