'Becky with the good hair': Beyoncé lyric brings out the best in Twitter
Saturday night’s all right for tweeting about Beyoncé, Lemonade, and even Becky.
“Sorry,” the album’s fourth track, hits back at an unfaithful partner by gloriously trouncing his apology. “Middle fingers up, put them hands high,” Beyoncé sings. “Wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye. Tell him, boy, bye, middle fingers up. I ain’t thinking ’bout you.” The song ends with a pointed suggestion: “He better call Becky with the good hair.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the “Becky” lyric went almost immediately viral. Ahead, some of the best tweets about what’s sure to become the next Beyoncé meme. For more on Lemonade, head here.
