The series will follow in the vein of 'Fargo'

Crackle is getting in the adaption game. The free, ad-sponsored service on Wednesday announced a series order for Snatch, a series based on the British film from Guy Ritchie.

Crackle is comparing this 10-episode series to FX’s Fargo, saying the show will carry the spirit of the original film that it’s based on while creating it’s own world.

The series, based on a real-life heist in London, focuses on a group of young hustlers that find themselves in the world of organized crime after discovering a truck of stolen gold. They soon find themselves over their head as they go against the worst that London has to offer from rogue cops to international mobsters.

The original film — which starred Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, and Benicio Del Toro — has developed a cult following since its release in 2000. Crackle has not yet announced details on when the series will debut.
