Star Wars: Oscar Isaac and BB-8 announce new Force for Change prize
Round Three of Star Wars: Episode VIII‘s new Force For Change charity push is upon us, and Poe Dameron and his “buddy” have released a new video detailing the the stakes.
Previously, the folks at Lucasfilm have offered donors a chance to win a trip to Skellig Michael, the Irish island where Luke Skywalker was in exile at the end of The Force Awakens, and Rogue One star Felicity Jones announced that an autographed Stormtrooper helmet was up for grabs.
This time, actor Oscar Isaac says it will be BB-8 himself being offered for raffle — although that seems to distress the droid. (It’s just a miniature Sphero version of the character.)
During the making of The Force Awakens, fans donated more than $10 million to UNICEF through the Force For Change program and were offered a chance to win various prizes, including a background role in Maz Kanata’s tavern, an early screening for friends, or tickets to the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
The Episode VIII drive is in support of UNICEF Kid Power, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Make-A-Wish. Fans can donate through CrowdRise.com/ForceForChange.
