With the second film in the magician-heist series still nearly two months away, a third Now You See Me movie is well into development, and now the prospective sequel has a director.

EW has confirmed that Jon M. Chu, the director of Now You See Me 2 (out June 10), will return for the third installment in the series.

Like the previous movie, Now You See Me 2 follows the exploits of the Four Horsemen (Dave Franco, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and new cast member Lizzy Caplan) as they seek a score using their gifts for illusion.

Chu is no stranger to joining a franchise mid-stride, having previously directed G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Step Up 2: The Streets after not making the original.

Variety first reported the news of Chu’s return.
