Courtney B. Vance is going from battling lawyers to battling the undead.

The veteran actor — who was lauded for his portrayal of lawyer Johnnie Cochran in the FX anthology series The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story — is the newest cast member of Universal’s The Mummy reboot, a studio spokesperson confirmed to EW. Vance is set to play an Army Colonel, according to a source.

Tom Cruise top-lines the resuscitation of the late ’90s and 2000s action franchise that starred Brendan Fraser. Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Annabelle Wallis (Netflix’s Peaky Blinders), and Jake Johnson (New Girl) are also attached for the blockbuster from director Alex Kurtzman (Transformers writer).
