Fans won’t see Joe Manganiello suit up for History Channel’s Navy SEAL Team Six drama. The actor had to drop out of the project during production due to a health issue, EW has confirmed.

The issue is linked to a pre-existing condition. Manganiello is not in danger, but the actor has decided to leave the project due to its physical demands. In light of this, production has halted on SIX until he is is replaced.

Manganiello was cast as Rip Taggart, the former leader of SEAL Team Six who protects an African village from Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram. The other five stars are Barry Sloane, Dominic Adams, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Schmidt, and Juan Pablo Raba.

Manganiello — who married Sofia Vergara in November — showed off his comedic chops in Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday, which hit Netflix in March.
