Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd is making the jump from summer movie blockbusters to dark TV comedies as he joins the cast of UnREAL‘s second season, EW can confirm.

“I’m getting hot and bothered already! can’t wait!” Gruffudd tweeted about his involvement with the Lifetime series. “Could get a bit steamy!”

Premiering on Lifetime in June 2015, UnREAL revolves around a young woman (Shiri Appleby) working as a reality television producer on a salacious series helmed by an overbearing boss (Constance Zimmer). Variety reports Gruffudd’s recurring character is described as “ruggedly handsome, optimistic and curious with the breezy demeanor of a man who owns the world. He’s quick minded, adventurous, has a good sense of humor, and no challenge is too huge for him.”

Zimmer tweeted at Gruffudd Wednesday evening, seeming to indicate her character will be romantically involved with his. “We are going to have some fun,” she posted.

Gruffudd, who starred alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in last summer’s action hit San Andreas, is primarily known for having played Mister Fantastic in 20th Century Fox’s 2005 blockbuster comic book adaptation, Fantastic Four, and its 2007 sequel. He also acted opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar in the short-lived CW series, Ringer, for the show’s one (and only) season, which aired from 2011-2012. Gruffudd recently had roles on the now-canceled ABC series Forever in addition to guest-starring on Glee in 2013.

UnREAL‘s second season premieres June 6 at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
