Annie Clark, the 33-year-old art-rocker better known by her moniker St. Vincent, has conquered stages around the world. She’ll now try her hand at directing. Magnolia Pictures subsidiary Magnet Releasing announced Tuesday that Clark will direct part of the forthcoming horror anthology film XX.

XX is comprised of multiple female-directed segments, each starring a female lead. Clark will direct one of these segments, and filming is set to begin spring. Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound, V/H/S) will produce Clark’s portion of the film. According to a press release, “the directors [of XX] have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints.”

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium,” Clark said in a statement.

Since releasing her epic self-titled album and touring behind it, Clark has stayed relatively quiet, logging a brief stint as a server at a Mexican restaurant and getting trolled by ClickHole.
