Illumination Entertainment may be best known for introducing Minions to the world with Despicable Me, but this year, the studio will unleash two new animal-related features: The Secret Life of Pets and Sing.

The new trailer for Secret Life of Pets focuses on the adventures of Max, a New York City dog voiced by Louis C.K., whose average life changes forever when his owner brings home a bigger, more slobbery mutt (Eric Stonestreet). When both dogs end up lost on the streets of New York, they have to team up with each other (and a nefarious bunny voiced by Kevin Hart) to try to find their way home.

But the new trailer also includes an Easter egg: a poster on the back of a bus for Sing, Illumination’s next feature about an animal singing competition (out Dec. 21).

Despicable Me’s Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney directed The Secret Life of Pets, and Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Albert Brooks, and Hannibal Buress all lent their voices to the film.

The Secret Life of Pets hits theaters on July 8.
