Kendrick Lamar pays tribute to Kobe Bryant
Kendrick Lamar is saying goodbye to Kobe Bryant.
The legendary Los Angeles Lakers star will play his final NBA game on Wednesday, and to mark the occasion, Lamar teamed with ESPN to produce a tribute video that includes words written by journalist Scoop Jackson and Lamar’s “untitled 07 | levitate” as backing music.
“It’s just a trip to be doing this right now,” Lamar said in the video’s introduction. “Kobe really retiring.”
Bryant played for 20 seasons in the NBA, all with the Lakers. He helped the team win five championships.
