MTV Movie Awards 2016: Best Kiss winner is Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine
Fat Amy and Bumper Allen forever! Pitch Perfect 2 stars Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine have won Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards.
Wilson and DeVine accepted the golden popcorn trophy at the ceremony, airing Sunday night on MTV.
“It’s quite incredible we won this award because in real life we have absolutely no sexual chemistry,” Wilson joked while accepting the award.
“She’s speaking the truth,” DeVine added. “I’m not turned on by her soft, pillowy lips. I’m not, I’m sorry!”
But the joke was on everyone, as the two stars made out on stage and mounted each other.
Wilson and DeVine both reprised their roles from the original Pitch Perfect for last year’s sequel, joining fellow returning stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, and Elizabeth Banks (who also directed). A third film is on the way next, due out Aug. 4, 2017.
The Pitch Perfect 2 duo beat out fellow Best Kiss contenders Amy Schumer and Bill Hader (Trainwreck), Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), Leslie Mann and Chris Hemsworth (Vacation), Margot Robbie and Will Smith (Focus), and Morena Baccarin and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool).
