'I ain't gonna be cooking all day, I ain't your mama,' she sings

Jennifer Lopez won’t be waiting on you anytime soon. The singer’s new single, “Ain’t Your Mama,” released Thursday is a buoyant anthem celebrating her independence and distaste in overly dependent partners.

“I ain’t gonna be cooking all day, I ain’t your mama,” she declares. “I ain’t gonna do your laundry, I ain’t your mama… When did you get too comfortable, ’cause I’m too good for that.” Lopez performed the track, her first released through Epic Records, on the series finale of American Idol.
