Ted Cruz got jokes.

The Texas senator — and Donald Trump’s main opponent for the Republican nomination for president — appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he discussed Star Wars, joked about running Trump over with his car, and commented on the viral meme that posits Cruz is actually the lead singer for rock band Stryper.

“True or false,” host Jimmy Kimmel asked Cruz while showing a photo of the band’s lead singer.

“Time will tell,” joked Cruz in response.

During the segment, Kimmel asked Cruz to reveal the last movie that made him cry. “The last Star Wars movie,” Cruz said. “I will say, as someone who grew up — I stood in line for two hours to watch The Empire Strikes Back. Han Solo was my hero. I’m not going to spoil it, but I’ll just say there was an image in that movie that was traumatic on a level I never wanted to see.”

As for Trump? “Donald… is a unique individual,” Cruz said, before referencing a segment from earlier in the broadcast about April Fools’ Day jokes, which included a prank where someone put a Freddy Krueger doll near a car’s back-up camera. “I will say, I was watching the early part of the show and if I were in my car and getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the back-up camera… I’m not confident which pedal I would push.”
