As Donald Trump marches ever closer to securing the Republican nomination for president, late-night hosts continue to reckon with the impact of his rise. When Salma Hayek stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, the host wondered if she might be able to talk sense into him. After all, Hayek has known Trump for years, though, as she says, “I haven’t seen him since he started this part of his entertainment career.”

She also corrected Kimmel’s logic, pointing out that Trump isn’t even the biggest component of Trumpism. “You don’t need to talk sense into him,” she said. “Everybody’s entitled to their own madness. You need to talk sense into people who are not seeing the madness.”
