NBC is eyeing a potential Blacklist spin-off, with the upcoming May 12 episode serving as a backdoor pilot that will feature Famke Janssen, EW has confirmed.

Details on the backdoor pilot, which will be helmed by Justified‘s Michael Dinner, are being kept under wraps. The X-Men and How to Get Away with Murder star’s character, Susan “Scottie” Halstead, will be introduced in the May 5 episode of The Blacklist, with an eye toward her being the lead in the spin-off.

Edi Gathegi, who plays Cabal villain Mr. Solomon on the flagship series, will star alongside Janssen. And EW has confirmed that franchise newcomer Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable) has joined the cast of the spin-off, though details on her role are being kept under wraps.

There is no official commitment for the project, with a decision on its future set to be made in the next few months.
