The Conjuring 2 trailer, starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, debuts at WonderCon

Straight from the film’s panel at WonderCon comes the new trailer for The Conjuring 2, featuring new sping-tingling footage. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren as they tackle “England’s Amityville.” Based on true events that are dubbed The Endfield Poltergeist, the story centers on a single mother (played by Frances O’Connor) who watches in horror as her daughters are plagued by a malicious spirit that takes a liking to one child specifically, Janet (Madison Wolfe).

“We wanted to mirror the story of Amityville. They are two of the most documented paranormal cases in the world,” director James Wan wrote during a Twitter Q&A. “I wanted to expand on the world we created on the first, and explore their characters more.”
The Conjuring 2 hits theaters on June 10.
