Ratchet and Clank movie: High-tech high jinks in new clips
The titular heroes of the popular video game series Ratchet and Clank — the former a furry, pointy-eared adventurer and the latter a slightly defective robot — are set to make the leap to the big screen next month, and Gramercy Pictures released two new clips for the CG-animated movie at WonderCon on Friday.
The first depicts the fateful first meeting of the pair, with Ratchet (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) plucking Clank (David Kaye) from a burning spaceship with seconds to spare. The second gives Clank an opportunity to pilot Ratchet’s own ship, but unfortunately for both of them, his piloting skills are “slightly underdeveloped.”
Directed by Kevin Munroe and Jericca Cleland, Ratchet and Clank hits theaters April 29. A new game tying into the film is also coming soon.
