The man behind Lexa’s surprise death on The 100 is ready to talk.

Ahead of his planned appearance at WonderCon this weekend in downtown Los Angeles, executive producer Jason Rothenberg put out a statement about Lexa’s death earlier this month on the CW drama, which drew widespread criticism for falling prey to a perceived TV trope dubbed “Bury Your Gays.” Rothenberg, in the meantime, lost thousands of Twitter followers after the episode that resulted in the death of Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), a popular character with fans.
