No, Melissa McCarthy isn’t attached to Netflix’s revival of Gilmore Girls. But the spirit of Sookie St. James might live on in a new cookbook that pays tribute to her and the show’s other chefs.

Kristi Carlson, a self-described Gilmore Girls superfan, launched a Kickstarter for her cookbook, titled Eat Like A Gilmore.

“The foods look so delicious, comforting, perfect for the season,” Carlson said in a video, which features her adorning various Gilmore Girls characters’ signature outfits. “I want to experience that magic.”

Carlson seeks at least 60 recipes reflecting the cuisine of Stars Hollow, each falling under one of three food settings: small-town diner, fancy Friday Night Dinners, and low-key, independent inns.

A $30 donation nets a pre-order of a hard copy of the book. Gift levels go as high for $1,000, for which Carlson will prepare dinner for the donor and five friends (only available for Southern California residents).

The Kickstarter seeks $20,000 to break even; as of this post, it’s surpassed the $17,000 mark.
