M83 released a dramatic new ballad highlighted by strings and keys Friday titled “Solitude.” The track is the second the band has released off their forthcoming Junk, the follow-up to 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.

“It’s a very strong album with a lot of eclecticism,” M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez told EW in December. “It’s very epic. There’s a lot of different genres that are not supposed to live together but I tried to make them live together, which is quite challenging. It’s also quite different from the previous albums which is what I’m the most proud of.”

Listen to “Solitude” below, and hear Junk when it arrives April 8.
