Britney Spears couldn’t stay away from the stage while on a break from her Las Vegas residency. The pop star traveled down to Nashville Tuesday to surprise her sister Jamie Lynn Spears ahead of a performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

Before the youngest Spears took the Opry stage, Britney introduced the 24-year-old budding country star, who the “Lucky” singer referred to as her “heart and soul.” “I can’t believe my whole family kept this secret from me,” Jamie Lynn said through tears after the intro, as seen in the video above. “I’m so honored to be at the Opry, but I’m even more honored to be here with all the people that I love the most.”

Earlier that evening, Britney took to social media to show her support: “So proud of our baby sister,” Britney captioned a photo of her and older brother Bryan.

Spears’ parents Lynne and Jamie—along with Jamie Lynn’s husband and daughter—were also in the audience to watch the former Nickelodeon star perform “How Could I Want More” off her 2014 EP, along with a new track, according to Taste of Country. Jamie Lynn thanked her family again on Twitter Wednesday, adding that Britney’s intro was the “best surprise ever.”

“So blessed. Thanks to my family, @britneyspears & thanks @opry,” she wrote.
