All Saints reunion tour announced
Fifteen years after their last proper tour, British girl group All Saints have announced a series of UK performances in support of their new album, Red Flag, due out April 8.
“SO SO excited to announce we’re going on tour!” the group’s official Twitter account posted early Tuesday.
All Saints, comprised of Melanie Blatt, Natalie Appleton, Nicole Appleton, and Shaznay Lewis, previously told i-D that their plans to reunite originated after they were asked to join the Backstreet Boys as special guests on the UK dates of the American boy band’s In a World Like This tour, which ran from 2013-2015.
“We thought we’d just do it for a laugh, but then we just didn’t want it to end. We liked being together. We wanted to be together. I mean we hang out anyway, but we wanted to hang out in this world,” Appleton said.
While the group has topped the UK charts in the past, particularly with the release of their 2000 album Saints & Sinners, the ladies of All Saints have notched only one album on the Billboard 200 albums chart, their eponymous 1997 debut, which spawned singles “I Know Where It’s At” and “Never Ever,” that peaked at numbers 36 and 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
The Red Flag tour will visit 10 British cities throughout October, kicking off in Newcastle and ending in Norwich. See the full list of Red Flag tour dates below and listen to the ladies’ new single, ‘One Strike,’ below.
