Boyhood director Richard Linklater takes on not-quite-adulthood in Everybody Wants Some, his new ’80s-set comedy about a team of college baseball players on the prowl for a good time in southeast Texas.

Fresh of the film’s debut at SXSW and a couple of weeks before its April 1 release, the latest red-band trailer showcases some of the NSFW fun the shaggy-haired protagonists get into. Contrary to their coach’s wishes, it’s a whirlwind of booze, girls, wisecracking, and testosterone.

The two-and-a-half-minute video also underscores the movie’s standing as a spiritual sequel to Dazed and Confused, Linklater’s cult favorite about unruly teenagers celebrating the last day of high school in 1976.
