After Zendaya took home the trophy for female TV star at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards, Difficult People star Julie Klausner took to Twitter to criticize Zendaya for her body size, sparking a feud between the two.

In her acceptance speech, Zendaya talked about the responsibility of being a role model for children, telling the audience, “I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I do it for you guys. I just want you to know that doing and making positive programming for young people is so important to me, and I will keep doing it. To all the parents out there, thank you for allowing me to be a role model for your children. I really, really do not take that for granted.”

After Zendaya’s win, Klausner tweeted that Zendaya was a “thinspo model” for “impressionable tweens.” Referring to Zendaya’s feud with Giuliana Rancic, Klausner added, “Zendaya’s ultimate retort to Giuliana Rancic is starving herself down to the size of one of her elbows. You don’t have to have an eating disorder to attend the Kids’ Choice Awards….but it helps!”

In response, Zendaya retweeted Klausner and added, “Do you find this funny? I will write another paragraph to educate you aswell #youreallywannabenext?”

Zendaya’s fans soon began tweeting at Klausner, accusing her of body-shaming, and Klausner replied, “I will never stop criticizing celebs who perpetuate dangerous beauty standards for a generation of girls who grow up thinking they’re fat.”
