10 Cloverfield Lane, the J.J. Abrams-produced “blood relative” to the 2008 monster movie, is filled with twists, but the most surprising one may come during the end credits.
With a cast as small as the one featured in 10 Cloverfield Lane, one unexpected name can stick out in a big way. That’s the case with the actor credited as “Ben” in the final credits. His name… Bradley Cooper.
For those who weren’t paying attention to Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and her cell phone, you may not have noticed the caller ID. Ben is the name of Michelle’s ex-fiance, and his voice is heard pleading with her to return home.

EW confirmed with Paramount that it is indeed Cooper, voice of Rocket Raccoon, and Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg says that the cameo came out of Abrams’ friendship with the actor from their Alias days. It never hurts to have the director of The Force Awakens as your producer.
So that’s one less mystery to be solved around Cloverfield.
