Characters are welcome at Netflix, so much so that the streaming service has introduced an entire series about them.

Netflix Presents: The Characters is a unique eight-episode series that gives eight different comedians their own episode with no rules or narrative restrictions and sets them loose to produce whatever they can imagine. Netflix has released eight new teases for the series, each offering a look at the unique approaches each comedian took to their own episode.

Among the eight comedians are With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus‘ Lauren Lapkus, former featured SNL player Tim Robinson, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day at Camp‘s John Early, and more. The episodes hit on a number of different setups, from Lapkus starring on a reality TV dating series to Dr. Brown amping up a crowd at monster truck rallies to Early’s very awkward date.

For a taste of the different comedy styles and personalities hitting the series — the individualized nature certainly makes the series more easy to pick and choose specific episodes if only a few comedians appeal to viewers — check out the preview for Lapkus’ episode above, along with the seven other episodes below.

All eight episodes of The Characters are now streaming on Netflix.
