The penultimate story in “History of Magic in North America” established dark climate in the wizarding New World, and the last tale in the series — “1920s Wizarding America,” which is now live over at Pottermore — explores how things stand heading into the events of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

In addition to chronicling the American equivalent of Mr. Ollivander — Wolfe, Jonker, Quintana, and Beauvais — “1920s Wizarding America” will reveal the role that magical people played in the World War I, an area of fictional history that Rowling has yet to touch.
