J.K. Rowling: Magic in North America story examines segregation laws
The third of four new stories from J.K. Rowling in her History of Magic in North America series is now live over at Pottermore.
“Rappaport’s Law” tells an 18th-century tale about the strict laws that came to rule over wizard and No-Maj relations, after a breach in secrecy embarrasses the Magic Congress of the United States of America, our Ministry of Magic.
Rowling teased tensions between magical and non-magical people in her previous story, “Seventeenth Century and Beyond.”
Come back to Entertainment Weekly later for an in-depth analysis of “Rappaport’s Law.”
