Zoey Deutch will head from the supernatural world to that of J.D. Salinger when she takes on the role of Oona O’Neill in Rebel In The Rye. EW has confirmed the Vampire Academy actress will play Charlie Chaplin’s wife, who previously dated Salinger, in the biopic that follows the author on his journey to writing Catcher In The Rye. Oona was also the daughter of playwright Eugene O’Neill.

Deutch joins Nicholas Hoult — who will tackle the leading role — Kevin Spacey, Hope Davis, Laura Dern, and Brian D’Arcy James. She most recently appeared in Dirty Grandpa alongside Zac Efron and Robert De Niro.
