Mitt Romney reads Donald Trump Mean Tweets on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Mitt Romney is back. The 2012 Republican presidential candidate has mostly laid low throughout the 2016 campaign, but has recently come back into the spotlight with a bevy of criticisms for Donald Trump. Romney followed this up by appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night, where the host naturallly had him read some Mean Tweets.
First up was a tweet from Trump himself: “Mitt Romney had his chance and blew it. Lindsay Graham ran, got ZERO, and quit. Why are they now spokesmen against me? Sad!” Romney had a response ready immediately: “The only people I know who ‘got zero’ are the ones who paid $25,000 to be at Trump University.”

Romney was a good sport about the other mean tweets as well, which mostly came from Trump supporters. One wrote “Mitt Romney = loser” (“That’s true actually, I did lose,” Romney quipped), and, “I actually met Mitt Romney in a bank a couple months back, I’m now working on a time machine to go back and punch him in the throat.” (“Yeah, pic or it didn’t happen.”) Romney did get serious again towards the end.
“Donald Trump needs to get out of the race,” Romney said, adding, “Let’s make people happy and get a candidate we can be proud of.”
