#OwnYourVoice campaign recruits YouTubers for gender equality
In honor of International Women’s Day, seven international YouTube personalities came together to fight for gender equality by announcing a new campaign, #OwnYourVoice.
The YouTube creators behind this project are Jackie Aina, a military veteran who posts makeup tutorials, Louise Pentland, a fashion vlogger, Hayla Ghazal, a comedian from Syria, Ingrid Nilsen, a DIY vlogger, Yuya, a make-up vlogger from Mexico, Taty Ferreira, a relationships vlogger, and Chika Yoshida, a travel vlogger.
These seven women are not only working to raise awareness for gender equality through their videos — they will also be serving as Change Ambassadors in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Action Campaign. They’re encouraging viewers to share their own videos about gender equality with the hashtag #OwnYourVoice.
