Hillary Clinton: Women's History Month playlist includes Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and more
For Hillary Clinton supporters who’ve had “The Official Hillary 2016 Playlist” on loop since it appeared on Spotify in June, the Democratic presidential candidate has curated a set of new tunes from her favorite female artists in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.
Her latest Spotify playlist, which dropped on the globally-celebrated holiday Tuesday, boasts 30 female-driven anthems, mostly from the 21st century, with some favorites from her time in the White House in the mix as well (think TLC, Destiny’s Child, and Shania Twain).
Other big names include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Madonna, and Missy Elliott. Notably absent from the list: Britney Spears, who met Clinton while she campaigned in Vegas last month. Katy Perry’s “Roar,” however, shows up on both of Clinton’s Spotify playlists, perhaps a sign that the presidential hopeful considers herself a Katy-Cat.
