If every history lesson was like this, the world might be a better place.

The latest Hamilton parody from CollegeHumor also happens be part of YouTube’s new women’s initiative, which focuses on content from female creators. Developed in tandem with Elaine Carroll (Astronaut’s Wives Club, Mad Men) and coinciding with International Women’s Day, which takes place March 8, the video runs through Merkel’s life — her accomplishments, her setbacks, and her game-changing political decisions — via the opening number of the show.

To find out how “a female fraulein, heir of a Pole and a pastor, raised in the wake of a second world war in Eastern Germany” became a chemist and a Chancellor (not to mention TIME’s Woman of the Year), watch the video below, which details Merkel’s life in rap.

There’s no beat boxing by Phillipa Soo, but we think Lin-Manuel Miranda would be proud.
