Christian Bale may miss his days as the Dark Knight, but he’s still supporting Ben Affleck donning the cape and cowl. Speaking to Yahoo Movies, Bale said Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice “looks great” and he has plans to see it, though probably not in theaters.

“I think they’ve done a bloody good job,” he said. “I don’t know that I’ll go see it in the movie theaters, but I’ll certainly see it.” He also mentioned that his 18-month-old son, Joseph, “really likes watching the trailers online.”

Affleck recently revealed that he got some invaluable advice about playing the character from Bale. Though he wouldn’t reveal what he learned from George Clooney, who played Batman in 1997’s Batman & Robin, Affleck said Bale “told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practical advice as it turned out.”

Bale also reflected on his experience portraying the Caped Crusader in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy to Yahoo. “I didn’t quite manage what I hoped I would throughout the trilogy. Chris did, but my own sense of self is like, ‘I didn’t quite nail it.’”
