Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Tituss Burgess launches launches pinot noir
You don’t have to be popular — but it helps if you have your own bottle of Tituss Burgess-approved pinot noir.
With season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt just a few weeks away, Burgess — who plays Titus, Kimmy’s roommate and aspiring star — has unveiled his own brand of pinot noir.
Burgess made the announcement on his Instagram, proclaiming that his new wine is designed “to be enjoyed by all the fabulous Kings and Kweens” because “pinot makes things fun.”
The 2014 bottle of Pinot by Tituss hails from Santa Barbara County in California, and it’s available to order online now for $24.99 a bottle. (Before you can place an order, the official website asks you if you’re over 21: “yassss” or “no.”) Orders will start shipping on March 14.
When the first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt dropped on Netflix last year, the first season was filled with catchy musical moments — think the theme song and the opening number from Spider-Man Too: 2 Many Spider-Men — but the breakout hit was Titus’ music video for “Peeno Noir,” a.k.a. “an ode to black to penis.”
“When we started to shoot this thing, we didn’t really have a track. We didn’t really have a song. All we did was play a beat back at Tituss, and as we shot him he would just do these lines,” Jeff Richmond, the show’s composer, told EW last year. “We had all these video elements, but it wasn’t a song yet. It wasn’t a song until we got in the edit room and we wrestled it together.”
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 premieres April 15 on Netflix.
