Everybody Wants Some poster is a funky look at Richard Linklater's latest
Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some, his spiritual descendent of the hang-out classic, Dazed and Confused, is about to make its big premiere at SXSW next week. At the same time in Austin, a new Mondo Gallery with new art dedicated to the director’s work will be open to the public, and EW has your first look at the poster for the newest film.
Everybody Wants Some follows a 1980s freshman (Blake Jenner) as he heads off to school, enters the world of college baseball, and revels in the many perks of being a BMOC. A big part of his new life is hitting the disco with the team, something that’s vividly represented in Matt Taylor’s poster.
Taylor’s poster for Everybody Wants Some is just one of the new works that will be on display for “No Longer / Not Yet,” the new gallery that opens on Saturday, March 12 from 7 – 10 p.m., and then open daily from 12 – 6 p.m. until March 15. For those heading down to Austin next week, you can find the gallery at 4115 Guadalupe St.
“No Longer / Not Yet” will also feature work from Dan Black, James Flames, Jason Munn, Phantom City Creative, Jay Ryan, Jay Shaw, Kevin Ton, and We Buy Your Kids.
