Vanessa Williams will star in VH1’s upcoming adaptation of Star Jones‘ Satan’s Sisters: A Novel of Fiction, the network announced Tuesday. The 2011 book, which Jones published five years after leaving The View, follows the hosts of a daily talk show titled The Lunch Hour and how their seemingly close friendships are more complex than the camera shows.

Williams currently appears in The Good Wife, and has three Emmy nominations under her belt for her performance on Ugly Betty. She’ll play The Lunch Hour creator Maxine, who, despite her powerful position, fears being forced out of it.
Satan’s Sisters is set to premiere in 2017.
