Kevin Costner is joining Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer in Fox’s upcoming ‘60s space drama Hidden Figures, EW has confirmed.

Henson stars as mathematician Katherine Johnson, who worked on NASA’s Friendship 7 mission. Together with her brilliant colleagues Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan (one of whom will be played by Spencer), Johnson helped make John Glenn the first American to orbit the Earth in 1962. Costner will play the head of the space program, reuniting with Spencer after they both starred in the drama Black or White in 2014.

St. Vincent’s Ted Melfi is directing, and Allison Schroeder adapted the screenplay from Margot Lee Shetterly’s soon-to-be-published book Hidden Figures: The African American Women Mathematicians Who Helped NASA and the United States Win the Space Race.
